  • Do I need an appointment to sell materials?
No appointment is necessary. If you have an especially large load, please give us a call at 316-303-9303 so we can make sure we have the staff and equipment ready for you.
  • What’s the least busy time to come in?
Our busiest days are Monday, Friday, and Saturday. We tend to be busy first thing in the morning, around noon, and last hour of the day. Saturdays are by far the busiest day of the week, sometimes having a line the entire day.
  • How do I sell my material?
You will need a vehicle and your state-issued Photo ID/Driver’s License. For nonferrous metals such as copper and aluminum, you will need to wait through the line on Santa Fe Street for our dock scales. For Steel/Iron/Tin/Appliances, you will need to wait in the line on Morris Street for our yellow bins. You may offload your material, and once everything has been weighed you will be given a ticket with your item weights on it. This can then be cashed out in our office.
  • Where do I go when I arrive?

You do not need to check in at the office unless you have a question you would like answered. If you have only Steel/Iron/Tin/Appliances or a large amount of Steel/Iron/Tin/Appliances, you need to wait in line on Morris St for our yellow bins. If you have nonferrous materials such as copper or aluminum, you need to wait on Santa Fe St for our dock scales. If you have both, you may need to wait through both lines. A small amount of Steel/Iron/Tin can be bought at the dock scales, but large items such as appliances or larger loads of metal will be asked to go through the tin line.

Pricing & Payment
  • How much is my material worth?
This depends on what the material is, how it is prepared, and how much total weight you have. Please see our pricing page, or give us a call at 316-303-9303 if you have any questions.
  • How do I get more money for my material?
The basics for getting the most out of your material are quantity, cleaning, and separating. Many of the items we buy go up in price when you have larger quantity. Please see our pricing page for details. Cleaning means that you have removed other materials from your items. Removing screws from your aluminum, or cutting brass off your copper can increase the value. Many of the items we buy can be separated into different grades. Check out our pricing page for tips, give us a call at 316-303-9303, or stop by if you have any questions.
  • How do you pay me?
For personal transactions, we are able to pay in cash or check, your choice! We pay all business transactions in check.
  • Do you buy catalytic converters?
Yes, we do buy catalytic converters. In addition to your state-issued Photo ID/Driver’s License, we ask that you bring an official document as proof of ownership. This would be a title, registration, bill of sale, insurance card, etc. We do not offer quotes over the phone, but are happy to offer a quote on site once we have verified the type of vehicle it came off of.
