Aluminum that was cast in a mold. Lighter than Zinc. Can be brittle. Nonmagnetic. Often found in vehicle parts.

• To fit in this category, must be completely clean. No other metals or materials attached and any fluids drained.

Preparation Tips

• Be careful not to mix Aluminum and Zinc. They look quite similar, but Zinc will be heavier.
• Sometimes things just aren’t worth cleaning. Aluminum that is at least 50% aluminum can go as a breakage product.
